Will Greenwood is one of England's greatest ever rugby players. In a professional career that spanned 11 years and 55 international caps he established a reputation as an unsurpassed mid-field creator.
Here Will talks to Dom Reilly about his life and travels.
What's your favourite holiday destination and why?
Sardinia – Forte Village – I coach kids rugby for www.ourlegend.com and we work with England Netball to coach the girls.. awesome beach, self contained, fantastic people, great food.. awesome sports facilities!!
Where in the world would you like to go that you haven’t been already?
China or India – fascinated by their enormity and cultures.
What’s your preferred mode of transport?
London – underground

What do you always travel with?
Slippers and toothbrush
What's your top tip to beat jet lag?
Plan… work out when best to sleep and stick to it... and water!
If you had to give one piece of advice when setting off on a trip, what would it be?
You can’t control everything!!
What is your proudest moment?
Lifting a 100kg bench press having been laughed at for years for being weedy…
Who has been your greatest influences?
It’s often said that life’s a journey – all be it a one-way ticket. If you could return as one thing or one person, what or whom would that be and why?
Alberto Tomba – always wanted to ski like a god.
Who is the most interesting person that you have sat next to on a plane?
My daughter Matilda – never sure what gold you are going to get…
What do you do on your time off?
Train hard in the gym! Vanity project perhaps!!
Who (living or not) would make the most interesting dinner table guests?
I would like to have my grandparents back and really talk to them – feel I never did…

What is the most memorable gift that you have ever been given?
An old lady bought me a ham and cheese sandwich after winning the world cup – felt really touched
What was it like to win the World Cup in 2003 under Sir Clive?
Hard work, sacrificed a lot, but totally worth it!
Was there one thing that you had to give up during training for the World Cup?
Nothing completely – but moderated all the bad stuff I used to like!!
How do you stay in shape when you’re travelling?
Plan ahead and stick to rigorous routine even when bed seems more appealing!
What is your advice for balancing work and family life?
Hoping someone can tell me!!
