Yesterday, at the home of the Williams F1 Team in Oxfordshire, Sarah Offill of Helen & Douglas House, children’s and young adults’ hospice, was presented with a selection of genuine Dom Reilly luggage that was used by the Williams F1 Team during their 2013 Formula One campaign.
To make the presentation, Dominic Reilly, Founder and CEO of the eponymous label was joined at Williams by Michael Caines, the two Michelin starred chef. Michael is closely linked to Dominic and Williams. He is an ambassador for the Williams F1 Team as well as a shareholder in the Dom Reilly business.
On the donation Dominic commented, “Each year the Williams F1 Team members travel over 70,000 kms visiting 19 different countries. They take over 50 flights a year and in my mind there is no finer test for a set of luggage than this arduous schedule. The bags we are donating to Helen & Douglas House are the genuine items that the mechanics, drivers and engineers used during the season. Granted, they have covered a few miles but they are all still in great condition and we hope that they might help raise some much needed money for this fabulous charity.
The bags will be sold on-line in the Helen & Douglas House charity eBay shop to raise vital funds for the charity.
